Teen Talks: New World Order Post-COVID19

The New World Order! COVID-19 has dramatically impacted our worlds. When you step outside your homes and vehicles, don't forget that fancy mask and remember to stay 6 feet apart. Don't sneeze or cough these days because instead of a "bless you", or a "are you ok," people are side-eyeing you and ready to fight if it lands in their direction. Confined to our homes for weeks at a time has become our new regular. Kids are forced to interact with each other over a computer screen while parents are forced to become teachers. How many virtual parties have you attended over zoom this year alone? "The VID" (Kevin Hart Voice) has done a number on the people in this world. That's why we want to hear from you. What does life look like for you post COVID-19? Let's have a conversation around the new normal and how we could support you and your family when the world opens back up.

Facilitated by Ty of I AM DIVA GIRL, Youth Therapist Toni Williams, MA, LMHCA and Andrew Campbell of Shine Kinesthetics; This weekly check-in is to give youth a virtual space committed to healthy reflection and dialogue to build self-esteem, self-confidence, and envisioning the possibilities of lfe striving to reach their full potential. Participants are encouraged to journal between weekly events and be prepared to discuss how to navigate obstacles they're facing in their environment boldly and respectfully. Youth, between ages 10 and 25, will be provided a $25 participation stipend.
